Melbourne Mathematics Conference | The Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) in collaboration with The University of Melbourne: Faculty of Education present a conference focusing on, Learning from each other: Connecting theory and practice

2025 SAVE THE DATE! 4TH JUNE F - 12 LEADERS DAY | 5TH JUNE EARLY YEARS EDUCATORS & PRIMARY TEACHERS DAY

Theme 2025: Learning from each other: Connecting theory and practice

Join us at next year's Melbourne Mathematics Conference that bridges the gap between theoretical insights and practical applications. This conference emphasises the importance of continual learning and the development of new professional knowledge. By connecting theory with practice, we aim to develop effective teaching methods that foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

By integrating leadership development with practical teaching strategies, the conference aims to empower educators to enhance their own instructional practices and lead others in creating a more effective and equitable mathematics education system. This holistic approach ensures that the benefits of bridging theory and practice extend beyond individual classrooms to impact schools and educational communities.

This conference brings together mathematicians, educators, researchers, and industry professionals to exchange ideas, collaborate, and innovate. Through keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and collaborative sessions, participants will explore how theoretical advancements can inform practical solutions and how real-world challenges can drive theoretical research. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your knowledge, network with peers, and contribute to the evolving landscape of mathematics education.

Venue: In person at -The University of Melbourne - Kwong Lee Dow Building, 234 Queensberry St, Melbourne.

Time: 9am to 3.50pm each day followed by happy hour.
