MAV Learning Tasks
During COVID-19 disruptions MAV produced weekly learning activities to assist teachers and families with mathematics learning. Activities cover Years F to 9.In some cases, links have been updated or removed. We apologise for any inconvenience. We are considering different to house these resources in which links can be efficiently updated. Currently, as these resources continue to be utilised we have decided to leave them online in their current format.
These tasks are suitable for general learning at school or home, and for homework.
Activity sets 1 - 10: Five tasks on two different content areas plus a recommended app.
Activity sets 11 - 13: Five warm up tasks on a given Victorian Curriculum Content strand.
Activity sets 14 - 17: Two investigation tasks on a given Victorian Curriculum Content strand.
Activity set 18: Number & Algebra Games.
Largely, tasks have been developed to rely on minimal materials. Playing cards, dice and access to a computer had been interwoven for various tasks. The tasks are a mix of open-ended, rich tasks, challenging tasks and small investigations.
