MAV Learning Activities

MAV Learning Tasks

During COVID-19 disruptions MAV produced weekly learning activities to assist teachers and families with mathematics learning. Activities cover Years F to 9.

These tasks are suitable for general learning at school or home, and for homework.

Activity sets 1 - 10: Five tasks on two different content areas plus a recommended app.

Activity sets 11 - 13: Five warm up tasks on a given Victorian Curriculum Content strand.

Activity sets 14 - 17: Two investigation tasks on a given Victorian Curriculum Content strand.

Activity set 18: Number & Algebra Games.

Largely, tasks have been developed to rely on minimal materials. Playing cards, dice and access to a computer had been interwoven for various tasks. The tasks are a mix of open-ended, rich tasks, challenging tasks and small investigations.
