Victorian Challenge & Enrichment Games Day Grahamvale Year 5 & 6

NOTE: THESE GAMES DAYS ARE FOR VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS ONLY. The aim of this program is to challenge high ability students in Years 5 & 6 a fun, challenging, collaborative and competitive mathematics-based games day. A Maths Games Day is an opportunity for students to work in teams of 4; apply and develop their mathematical talents and thinking skills in a setting where Maths is regarded as fun and worthwhile; work with like-minded high ability students from a diverse range of schools; participate in mathematical activities and games without the usual classroom pressures; work effectively in teams and develop strategies to work collaboratively to solve problems; enhance their problem-solving skills; get excited about mathematics, whilst being rewarded through prizes and awards. Teams of 4 students can be made up of students across both Year 5 & 6.

This will also improve student engagement and ultimately achievement in mathematics by providing access to student enrichment Mathematics Games Days which are not available to them in mainstream learning settings in metro, regional and rural areas. Available to students in government schools only.

VCE Revision Program 2025

The MAV VCE Revision Program is a self-paced, online resource designed to support students in all VCE Mathematics studies with expert-led video lessons, interactive quizzes, and a comprehensive revision book. Created and delivered by experienced VCAA exam assessors, the program offers insider tips, common pitfalls, and detailed guidance on how to effectively use CAS technology. With hours of content broken into manageable chunks and live Q&A webinars, students gain the tools and confidence to excel in their exams.





VIC Coding Challenge - STAGE 1 - (Years 5-10)

In Stage 1, students will receive a virtual coding kit with engaging challenges that develop coding and algorithmic thinking, which can be completed at school or home, at their own pace, with support resources and teacher solutions provided. While schools may register unlimited students, the program is designed for high-ability students, with kits accessible from the start of Term 2 until the end of the year.

Event Booking and Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel their booking on or prior to the advertised closing date will receive a full refund less the cancellation fee of $35. All cancellations must be in writing and include any documentation already sent out. (Except in the case of illness, a 50% refund is available subject to supply of a medical certificate. The certificate and application for refund must be supplied in writing to MAV within 24 hours after the event.)

NO REFUNDS are available after the advertised closing date as costs will have been incurred and catering booked.

If events are free there is no cancellation fee.
