Description:
Building on the very successful series of pseudocode sessions earlier this year, Toan will further develop your skills in teaching how to write pseudocode implementing various mathematical algorithms. Additionally, he will cover the basics of how to translate pseudocode into runnable Python code which allows students to independently test, receive feedback, and iterate on the correctness of their algorithms.
There are no software download and installation required. All Python coding will be completed within the browser without needing to sign up or register an account. Teachers may alternatively use a Python supported graphics calculator (or emulator).
Please note that this session will be recorded and sent out after the session to all registered participants.

Toan Huynh is currently the Director of Teaching and Learning at CS in Schools, a non-profit dedicated to creating sustainable change in Australian coding, computer science and digital technology education. Previously he was the Head of Computer Science and a 7 - 12 secondary teacher at Haileybury Senior College, and the John Monash Science School. Prior to his career in education, Toan also has over 10 years' experience in big tech, having worked in the US at Microsoft and eBay and other companies as a program manager and coder.
