VCES Games Day Years

The 2024 VCES Games Day is a wonderful opportunity for high ability students to actively participate in a wide variety of math games that will challenge their mathematical thinking and reasoning. This day will provide students with further opportunities to amplify productive learner dispositions as they engage in team challenges, while at the same time foster curiosity and a sense of fun. Each participating school is invited to enrol up to two teams; each team comprised of 4 students.





2024 Regional VCE Conference in BENDIGO

Friday 10th May 2024
8:30AM - 3:00PM

This full day VCE conference offers 4 streams (1) Mathematical Methods, (2) Specialist Mathematics, (3) General Mathematics, (4) Foundation Mathematics. In each case the day will comprise of the Meet the Assessors lecture/workshop and a SAC information session. The Foundation Mathematics stream will also include a curriculum information session and tips for teaching Foundation Mathematics. Where possible presenters will be delivering the content in person. However, in the case where we cannot secure presenters to attend live, they will be presenting virtually and will still be available for Q&A.

What better way to enhance your students' interdisciplinary skills than with a games day? Maths Games Days are a very effective vehicle for getting young people - particularly in the middle years of schooling - enthused about maths. Problem solving and mathematical games address the Victorian Curriculum proficiency strands.

Our Metropolitan VCE Conference was extremely popular and reached capacity quickly. We are now offering the same experience in a virtual setting! Our virtual and on-demand VCE Conference includes everything that our VCE conference does, minus the catering. This virtual course can be done at your own pace, at any time you wish. Your choice of any or a combination of: (1) Mathematical Methods, (2) Specialist Mathematics, (3) General Mathematics, (4) Foundation Mathematics. Each subject course comprises of a Meet the Assessors session (recorded video, solutions to VCAA exams, presenter slides) and a SAC information session with sample tasks.

Event Booking and Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel their booking on or prior to the advertised closing date will receive a full refund less the cancellation fee of $35. All cancellations must be in writing and include any documentation already sent out.

NO REFUNDS are available after the advertised closing date as costs will have been incurred and catering booked.

If events are free there is no cancellation fee.
