Description: Discover the Victorian Department of Education's Centre for Higher Education Studies in South Yarra, supporting high-achieving senior students from government schools through accelerated and specialised programs. Learn how flexible delivery models, enrichment opportunities, and university-level access initiatives foster academic, social, and emotional growth—preparing students for success through mentoring, masterclasses, and expert-led learning experiences. Particularly supportive of students from regional, rural, or smaller schools across Victoria. Presenters James Mott James is a VCE Specialist Maths Teacher at the Centre for Higher Education. He is also a TI National Trainer, VCAA assessor, MAV Professional Learning committee member, and MAV presenter. He has presented at local and international conferences on using TI CAS technology to support student learning. James is passionate about sharing and learning pedagogical practices with fellow maths educators. Georgia Gouros Georgia is a Mathematics and Algorithmics (HESS) educator with experience across Victorian schools. She contributes to VCE curriculum development, teacher training, and MAV conferences. An accomplished author, she supports computational thinking through textbooks and resources. At CHES, she led innovative programs, including developing a curriculum for Year 10 electives and initiated Hyflex teaching and learning methodologies.

Event Booking and Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel their booking on or prior to the advertised closing date will receive a full refund less the cancellation fee of $35. All cancellations must be in writing and include any documentation already sent out. (Except in the case of illness, a 50% refund is available subject to supply of a medical certificate. The certificate and application for refund must be supplied in writing to MAV within 24 hours after the event.)

NO REFUNDS are available after the advertised closing date as costs will have been incurred and catering booked.

If events are free there is no cancellation fee.
