Haileybury welcomes applications for the position of Head of Mathematics Middle School (Years 58). • Remuneration:Remuneration includes a teaching salary aligned with qualifications and experience (T4 $96,218 -T14 $141,006) plus a substantial SPoR allowance. An attractive leadership remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.

• Tenure:Full-time, ongoing teaching position

• Position of Responsibility:Fixed-term with a five-year tenure

• Commencement date:January 2027

• Location:The successful candidate may be based at any one of Haileyburys four campuses

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Mathematics education across Years 58, ensuring alignment with Haileyburys vision, values and educational priorities.

• Lead the ongoing development, implementation and review of a contemporary, knowledge-rich Mathematics curriculum that promotes excellence and supports student growth.

• Drive high-quality teaching and learning practices through evidence-informed pedagogy, curriculum leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Foster a collaborative and high-performing faculty culture that values professional learning, innovation, consistency and accountability.

• Build staff capability through leadership, coaching, mentoring and the delivery of targeted professional development programs.

• Use student achievement and assessment data to inform strategic planning, improve educational outcomes and identify opportunities for growth.

• Ensure consistency and excellence in curriculum delivery, assessment, moderation and reporting practices across all campuses.
