Supporting teachers and schools
MAV represented 826 schools and more than 17,000 teachers, leaders and academics in 2025, strengthening its role as a key voice for mathematics education in Victoria. Across the year, MAV delivered professional learning, consulting and conferences that supported educators from early childhood through to VCE.
Resources and professional learning
Teachers accessed over 553 resource sales from the MAV shop, including more than 120 VCE exam preparation resources and nearly 10,000 copies of MAV journals distributed to members. MAV also delivered 15 webinars and events, plus major conferences including the Melbourne Mathematics Conference, regional conferences, the VCE Conference and the Annual Conference, attracting thousands of registrations combined.
Student programs and partnerships
Student participation remained strong, with activities such as the Victorian Coding Challenge, MAV and VCE Games Days, Maths Talent Quest and the VCE Revision Program engaging thousands of students across the state. MAV's work was further supported through partnerships with key organisations and sector bodies, helping to expand impact and opportunities for schools in 2025.
