Mental computation: a priority in Victorian primary schools?

13 years ago research suggested that mental computation involving creative problem solving is of prime importance and should therefore be explicitly taught. Yet it appears standard written algorithms still seem to dominate. This webinar For teachers of F to Year 6 will discuss where Victorian primary schools are now in the teaching of mental and written strategies for computation.
