Description: VCE Mathematics Conference 2027 Friday 12 February 2027 RMIT University \| Swanston Street, Melbourne Join the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) for a full day dedicated to VCE Mathematics teaching, learning and assessment. Bringing together VCE Mathematics teachers, experienced presenters and industry experts, this conference offers practical, subject-specific professional learning to support your teaching throughout the year. Choose your VCE Mathematics stream Select one of four VCE Mathematics studies when you register: Mathematical Methods Specialist Mathematics General Mathematics Foundation Mathematics Following an opening address, participants will move into their chosen subject stream for a series of exam-focused sessions. These sessions will explore key content, common student challenges, exam preparation and practical approaches to supporting student success. SACs, assessment and classroom practice After lunch, the focus turns to School-assessed Coursework (SACs), with dedicated sessions providing practical information and insights to support the planning, development and delivery of effective assessment. Relevant streams will also include a focus on VM Numeracy, supporting teachers across the breadth of senior secondary mathematics. CAS workshops The conference will feature dedicated Computer Algebra System (CAS) workshops presented by both Texas Instruments and Casio. These practical sessions will explore effective ways to use CAS technology within VCE Mathematics teaching, learning and assessment. A day for the VCE Mathematics community The VCE Mathematics Conference is more than a series of professional learning sessions. It is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, ask questions and spend a day talking all things VCE Mathematics. The day is fully catered, with morning tea, lunch and refreshments provided. Whether you are teaching a VCE Mathematics study for the first time or have years of experience, you’ll leave with practical ideas, assessment insights and new perspectives to take into the year ahead. Event Booking and Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel their booking on or prior to the advertised closing date will receive a full refund less the cancellation fee of $35. All cancellations must be in writing and include any documentation already sent out. (Except in the case of illness, a 50% refund is available subject to supply of a medical certificate. The certificate and application for refund must be supplied in writing to MAV within 24 hours after the event.)

NO REFUNDS are available after the advertised closing date as costs will have been incurred and catering booked.

If events are free there is no cancellation fee.
