Jacaranda is enabling remote learning during COVID-19

jacaranda: A Wiley BrandJacaranda are offering Australian secondary schools free access to Jacaranda digital/PDF resources for their teachers and students until the end of Term 2, 2020. Jacaranda digital resources cover all core subjects and have already been trusted by thousands of Australian secondary schools to make the move to online learning. They have multiple formats to support remote learning including, learnON, eBookPLUS and the downloadable PDF (for upload to LMS platforms) – all of which can be accessed via desktop, laptop and iPad. They kindly ask that schools submit one request per school, which outlines all the subjects and year levels they need access to. Then submit this request to their local Jacaranda Education Consultant.

Full Access to Mangahigh for Distance Learning

We are therefore offering full access to Mangahigh during school closures for any schools who are impacted by COVID-19 so learning doesn’t have to stop*.

This includes 100% of our mathematics content and full reporting dashboard for the teachers and a full account for each student so they can continue their learning from home on any device they have access to. With Mangahigh, teachers can assign and assess students’ performance online and exchange messages with their students in a virtual environment.

MathplotGraphing plus worksheets/homework book generators (including the year 12 questions) that are randomly generated and have fully worked solutions plus much more.

If teachers are away the generators and tutor will allow for revision work to be available (or providing quick last minute lesson preparation ) without needing knowledge of the topics, students can work as an alternative from the maths tutor, this work can be saved and emailed.

 The year 7-10 maths tutor also has capacity for students to save work and email to teachers, which would provide an easy way of students communicating with teachers if the school has closed.

Mathsquad website free access

The Mathsquad website hosts a comprehensive collection of free videos and practice questions covering basic skills that can assist students from Grade 3 to Year 9. 

The videos and practice questions are best used in conjunction with weekly worksheets. These sheets improve retention and also help students identify gaps in their knowledge.

While the worksheets are normally a paid for product I am very happy to share 10 weeks for free to support students, parents and teachers during this time. Just email me at wendy@mathsquad.org and I'll send them through.
