Date: 27 June 2017
The Primary Leaders and Teachers Conference, held at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th of June was a fantastic success!. 225 delegates and over 20 presenters included many MAV members, Victorian teachers and mathematics leaders, and interstate delegates from NSW and Brisbane.
This conference was a truly collaborative event hosted at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, The University of Melbourne and included high-quality presenters and a variety of session options. Participants learnt from leaders with practical and educational research experience, from The Mathematical Association of Victoria and Melbourne Graduate School of Education, Mathematics Education Group (MEG). We heard of unsolicited praises and appreciation for the organisation and execution of the event, intellectually stimulating keynote speeches, as well as for the professional and practical workshop sessions. The place was a buzz!
MAV and MEG teams are looking at how the MAV can take some of the presentations to regional Victoria, to help provide access to high quality professional learning opportunities for teachers across the state, Stay tuned!
