Description: This session helps educators to think about how they use student data to lead meaningful shifts in practice. Focusing on data literacy, data visualisation, and data storytelling, Dr Selena Fisk will explore how to interpret evidence, communicate insights clearly, and make informed decisions that improve teaching and learning. This session is practical, accessible, and grounded in classroom and school-based contexts. Dr Selena Fisk Dr. Selena Fisk is a data storyteller dedicated to helping educators transform numbers into meaningful narratives that create positive change. With 16 years of teaching experience in Australia and the UK, Selena empowers educators, school leaders, schools and systems to build data-informed cultures. She has authored four books, an online data storytelling course, and is the creator of the ‘Make Data Talk’ podcast. Selena supports schools globally to use data strategically, ultimately enhancing outcomes for young people. Registrations close 11th May 2026

Event Booking and Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel their booking on or prior to the advertised closing date will receive a full refund less the cancellation fee of $35. All cancellations must be in writing and include any documentation already sent out. (Except in the case of illness, a 50% refund is available subject to supply of a medical certificate. The certificate and application for refund must be supplied in writing to MAV within 24 hours after the event.)

NO REFUNDS are available after the advertised closing date as costs will have been incurred and catering booked.

If events are free there is no cancellation fee.
