Description:
Why Challenge Matters in Mathematics - A webinar with Peter Sullivan
Challenge is not a barrier to learning, it is the pathway to deep understanding. In this webinar, Peter Sullivan explores how well-designed mathematical tasks motivate students, build persistence, and strengthen reasoning.
Drawing on the revised edition of Challenging Mathematical Tasks, Peter demonstrates how teachers can maintain high intellectual demand while managing cognitive load through clear, consistent task design. Participants will learn how challenging tasks can be used across a teaching sequence to support retrieval, consolidation, and durable learning.
This practical, research-informed session is ideal for educators seeking to build confident, resilient mathematical problem solvers.
Register now and discover how challenge can transform learning.
