The Postgraduate Certificate in Education is designed for graduate students interested in pursuing a broad academic study of education, and can be undertaken as a stand-alone certificate or as part of a specialisation within the Master of Education. A Postgraduate Certificate in Education comprises 50 percent of the requirements towards the Master of Education. This course offers a variety of opportunities to broaden your understanding of education in a range of curriculum areas and issues affecting educational outcomes including;

To qualify for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education with a named specialisation, a student must complete 40 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings relating to a particular specialisation.
The course aims to develop disciplinary knowledge of mathematics up to Year 12 level. Participants will master senior secondary school level mathematics content and significantly extend pedagogical understanding to teach effectively. The program consists of four compulsory subjects with a total accumulation of 50 credit points at completion. The course is targeted towards current secondary level mathematics school teachers, who at present are not qualified (with a mathematics major) to teach in the mathematics area.
This course is designed to meet the needs of educators, educational administrators, managers, policy makers and others interested or involved in learning and education or educational work in the wider community, and who may based either locally or internationally. The course offers a general stream and specialisations which indicate a particulur area of focus that draws on research or practice expertise in the facualty. The course builds students' learning through broadending their knowledge of key constructs related to education contexts, deepening their profoessional learning in specialist areas and building their capacity as professional inquirers.
