What is the MAV?
The Mathematical Association of Victoria is a membership driven association that
provides a voice, leadership and professional support for mathematical
education. Through our program and services we aim to promote mathematics,
mathematics education, and its importance to society.
Our Association has over 1600 members from all sectors of education, and has
been an active non-profit professional Association for over 100 years.
What does the MAV provide for you?

- A Reference Library in Brunswick, which has the latest maths books and resources on display, as well as the latest Australian and overseas journals. Members are welcome to visit the library during office hours - 9.00 - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

To become a member, download the appropriate application form, complete the details and return it with your payment to the MAV office, 61 Blyth Street, Brunswick, Victoria 3056, or fax 03 9389 0399.
Please note that our membership period is from January to December. Renewals for the following year are sent out in early October each year and you can renew until 31 March before we cease to send you membership benefits.

Who can be a member?
- All mathematics teachers or those qualified in mathematics and/or education
- Institutions teaching mathematics
- Any person studying mathematics or education as part of a full-time or part-time course at a tertiary teaching institution
- Any person who is unqualified, or represents a publisher or other group with some connection to the teaching of mathematics or mathematics teaching (Associate membership)
