    • Barry Squire : bsquire@metz.une.edu.au

"While not a school, we provide pre and inservice teacher education courses to students and practising teachers from all over Australia.
We have a Task Centre comprising many of the Curriculum Corporation Tasks housed in a seminar room which is accessed by students in the General Studies mathematics electives.
For one assignment, they are required to evaluate 5 or so of the tasks and construct 1 or 2 of their own.
While problem solving has been part of our courses for over a decade, we have only recently utilised the specific 'task centre' approach.
I'm interested in receiving any info relating to teachers' use of task centre.
