For more than 10 years the Problem Solving Task Centre Network has been supporting primary, secondary and tertiary teachers in the incorporation of problem solving into school curricula and in the establishment of Maths Task Centres.

Hundreds of teachers and school communities have come to see the value of hands-on mathematical problem solving with an emphasis on cooperation, teamwork and the use of concrete materials.
There is value for Mathematics teachers in the establishment of a Task Centre in their school. It is a way of introducing teachers to maths problem solving and cooperative group work, and of developing a feeling of collegiate atmosphere within a Mathematics Department or school. Task Centres can be established for comparatively little cost.

The network now has members in all states and territories in Australia and in a number of overseas countries. The yearly subscription is $10, which covers the cost of two newsletters a year and provides access to details in the operation of Task Centres for prep grade children to those in Year 12.

There is currently no fee to join the Problem Solving Task Centre Network.
