More About The Tasks
Range
We have a growing stock of tasks (complete list) from which we can supply 100 to suit any year levels from 2 -10.
Tasks have been selected because:
- All tasks can be used by students with a wide range of abilities
- A solution can be accessed through the use of concrete materials
- There is potential for the teacher to extend the learning beyond the initial task
Quality
All tasks are delivered as high quality laminated, colourful workcards with all the necessary concrete materials included.
The materials have been chosen with an eye to look, feel and appropriateness to the task.
Some are hand crafted wood, some are commercially available items which we can purchase in large numbers at a cost saving and some are laminated card.
Many clients have reported being impressed by the presentation of the material and the amount of work they have been saved by purchasing our product.
Extras
Each full set purchased comes with a booklet of information and advice, master copies of the worksheets necessary for a few tasks, a sample pack of teachers' notes and other information.
It must be emphasised, that this project is not a commercial materials supplier in the normal sense, and the preferred marketing package is based around the one day workshop.
These additional print materials are designed for use in that workshop and, although they stand alone to a large degree, they make most sense in the context of the workshop.
Storage
Schools make individual choices about the storage facilities they use for their tasks.
Such decisions tend to depend on whether the tasks will be in a permanent room where the students come to the tasks, or whether they will be transported frequently, and also on available funds.
Consequently we make no attempt to pre-empt that decision and supply the tasks in temporary press-seal bags.
The set of 100 arrives in a carton with blank labels and colour stickers as well as the extra print material.
The two main choices for storage are plastic hangbags or storage boxes.( Details - Australia,) As a service to overseas clients tougher press-seal plastic bags are included at at no extra charge. These are a useful first alternative for storage if boxes are not available. In Australia these bags can be included with the order for an additional $0.22 per bag (including GST). For all clients, these press-seal bags are included in packages such as Mixed Media and Replacement Units.
In the USA Rubber Maid, Wooster, Ohio, make a box 23 x 23 x 8cm, Item # 3862 which could be suitable for Curriculum Corporation tasks.
